This weekend, the latest UFC Vegas card will take place.
Dominick Reyes went into his September 2020 fight with Jan Bachowicz having gone the distance with Jon Jones seven months prior in a fight that many thought he deserved to win. Then something happened.
Reyes was introduced to “Polish Power” by Bachowicz’s clubbing left hook, which caused him to stumble backward, before being knocked out seconds later, denying him the chance to be crowned world light heavyweight champion.
Reyes has returned nearly eight months after that emphatic TKO. When “The Devastator” fights Ji Procházka in the main event of UFC Fight Night, live from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, on Saturday night, he will look to end his two-fight losing streak.
Before Jones and Bachowicz, the 31-year-old Reyes had never been defeated. Regardless, he’ll try to win for the first time since KOing Chris Weidman in the first round in October 2019.
Procházka is coming off a second-round KO victory over Volkan Oezdemir in July of last year. In March 2019, Reyes defeated Oezdemir in a three-round split decision.
Will Reyes reclaim his light heavyweight title, or will Procházka make it ten straight stoppages in his most important fight yet?
